Kiru transcribes your video using AI, then analyzes the transcript to automatically detect and remove silences, bad takes, filler words, and false starts. The result is a clean rough cut you can export or refine further.
Kiru is a native desktop app that edits everything locally on your machine. For transcription, only extracted audio is sent to the transcription service. If you choose to use AI AutoCataloging, low-res proxies are uploaded for analysis — but only if you opt in. Your original video files never leave your computer.
You can export as MP4, WAV audio, or project files for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro. This lets you use Kiru as a starting point and finish your edit in your preferred NLE.
The browser version lets you try Kiru's core editing workflow for free with limited features. The desktop app gives you full access to all features including B-roll cataloging, AutoCaptions, LUT support, and NLE exports.
